The Most Expensive Home Sales in Miami: May 2025

Miami is known for many things: ocean views, great food, and sleek waterfront homes. It’s turned into a playground for the wealthy, with high-end condos and lavish estates lining the coast. Coastal Florida as a whole is actually home to a lion’s share of the nation’s most expensive properties – many of which are seaside mansions or penthouse condos.

However, Florida is seeing a reckoning in its housing market. Surging insurance costs, HOA fees, and climate risks are sidelining buyers and prompting sellers to list. Now, sellers far outnumber buyers, pushing prices down. Condos have already started declining in popularity nationwide, and in Miami, nearly all sell below list price.

Even so, people continue to move to the area for its weather, culture, or to invest in the real estate market. Here were the most expensive home sales in Miami in May, according to data from Redfin
