Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh looked pretty in pastel as she attended a seminar during a visit to the Groundswell Agricultural Festival Show on Thursday.

The 59-year-old royal stepped out in the perfect summer frock as she attended the festival at Lannock Manor Farm in Hitchin on Thursday.

The mother of two looked the perfect English rose in her ankle length dress which featured long sleeves and a long flowing skirt, worn with a cream blazer and her soft blonde hair swept into a laidback bun.

Sophie serves as Honorary President of the charity LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming), where she supports their aims of sustainable food production and to teach young people with where British food comes from.

The gorgeous Herefordshire country served as the perfect backdrop to her summery ensemble which showcased her elegance and good taste.

She is especially keen to connect young people with the countryside and advocates for their generation to be given greater opportunities to create a career in the food production industry.

As part of this, she regularly visits agricultural shows across the country as part of her role patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations (ASAO), which serves as the representative body for the UK’s many agricultural, horticultural, equine and countryside events.

During her visit, Sophie posed sweetly next to the big white sign for the farming festival, showing off her gorgeous smile.

All eyes were on the duchess as she spoke passionately during a seminar at the farming festival.

The annual regenerative Groundswell Festival will finish on Thursday after two jam packed days.

Its yearly purpose is  to bring people closer to understanding where their food comes from providing a middle ground for farmers, growers, and those interested in food production to understand more about regenerative farming systems.

Just yesterday, the Duchess of Edinburgh proved how successful she is as a fashion chameleon.

At the state banquet for the Japanese Royal’s state visit on Thursday, Sophie was a vision of regal elegance as she donned the Lotus Flower Tiara – originally made for the Queen Mother 1923.

As part of their state visit, the Emperor Naruhito and his wife Empress Masako of Japan, viewed treasured pieces displayed at Buckingham Palace

She showed sophistication in the historic piece of jewellery, which was also a known favourite of Princes Margaret’s throughout the 1960s.

Wearing the magnificent tiara was also a sweet gesture to her nephew Prince William’s wife Kate Middleton, who is currently undergoing treatment following a cancer diagnosis, and was the last one to wear it for a 2022 Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace.

Sophie and her husband, Prince Edward, are trusted members of King Charles’ ‘slimmed down’ Royal Family.

Just last week, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a charming portrait of the couple.

In the image, Prince Edward, 60, is pictured embracing Sophie, 59, wrapping his arms around her waist. Meanwhile, she rests her hands on her husband’s, leaning her head towards his.

The two were dressed down in the relaxed shot, which was snapped in the gardens of their Bagshot Park home in Surrey.
