We as humans tend to think in terms of numbers. For instance, it’s been 35 years since Tyler Barger was born. The last birthday he celebrated was when he turned 27. And if you’re confused by those 2 statements, it’s because 7 years ago Tyler took his own life.
For family, friends, and an entire community who knew Tyler, that’s a nearly impossible reality to comprehend. Why? Why did this happen? And there isn’t an answer. So we lean on cold, hard truths. Dates, anniversaries, birthdays, numbers.
But the amazing thing about humans is our resiliency. Even in the darkest of times, we look ahead to the light.
