‘Took 18 years to feel it?’

Virat Kohli hilariously trolled RCB fans for their viral theory linking his jersey number 18 to a possible IPL 2025 title win.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have made a solid start in IPL 2025, winning four out of their first six matches. Fans are hopeful that this might be the year RCB finally wins their first IPL trophy. Even though they had big names like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, and KL Rahul in the past, they couldn’t win the title. But this year, they seem to have found the right mix in both batting and bowling.

Kohli leading the Batting

Virat Kohli is in great form this season. He has scored 248 runs in six innings, leading the team from the front. Phil Salt is opening the batting with him and doing well, while Rajat Patidar is showing his talent in the middle order. Jitesh Sharma and Tim David are hitting big and making the batting lineup strong.

RCB’s bowling is also looking good this season. The bowlers are working together as a team and taking wickets at important times, which is helping the team win matches.

Virat’s question to fans

After the strong start, RCB fans are hopeful that this might be their year to win the IPL. Some fans are playfully connecting Kohli’s jersey number 18 to the 18th season of the IPL. In a video, Kohli jokingly asked fans, “Were you not feeling it till now? It took 18 years to feel it. What about 17, 16, 19?” after the joke, he added, “I think it’s a good reason to be in a good space and be positive.”

At 36, Virat Kohli is enjoying a fantastic season. He has already scored three half-centuries and is among the top run-scorers. In a recent match against RR, he equaled David Warner’s record of 66 half-centuries in IPL, a remarkable achievement.
