Tiger Woods exits Open Championship after two bad rounds

Another major, another missed cut for Tiger Woods.

The American star missed the cut for a third consecutive Open Championship on Friday with one of the worst scores at Royal Troon.

Woods finished 14-over for two rounds after a 6-over 77 on Friday and sat tied for 149th in the 157-player field upon completion of his second 18.

Woods, 48, now has 15 consecutive rounds in the majors without breaking par, dating to a 69 in the second round of the 2022 PGA Championship.

The three-time Open Championship winner has had four surgeries on his lower back.

He has now played all four majors for the first time since 2019.
