This Full-Moon-in-Pisces Limpia Will Bring Clarity
September’s full moon is the second consecutive supermoon in a series of four. The first was the Full Moon in Aquarius that took place in August. Now, we usher in the powerful energy of the Pisces supermoon and just to amp things up, let’s throw in a lunar eclipse to coincide with the full moon. Many have already been feeling the pulls of eclipse season, and it’s only just beginning. So hold on tight, and know that whatever you are going through right now is exactly where you need to be. It may not feel like it, but trust that the Universe is working things out in your favor.
When faced with adversities, it is a choice as to how we will face them. Initially, the challenge may bring feelings of being overwhelmed, stuck, or even angry and sad. It is ok to allow these feelings to enter your body, but try not to let them stick around for too long. Feel them, embrace them, and then find peace in breath work, movement, and full moon limpias to allow the emotions to eventually leave your body and your energy. By doing this, you are honoring all of your emotions, and allowing the ones that strengthen you to come to the forefront of your mind, body, and spirit.
With four consecutive supermoons in the forecast, Aug. 19, Sept. 17, Oct. 17, and Nov. 15 , as well as a lunar and solar eclipse, we have a lot of energy to work with before the year is out. Remember that any icky situations that come up before December could be a direct result of the busy astrological transits. Remind yourself to not take things personally, and to not project your challenges onto another. Show up for yourself everyday, and give yourself the care you deserve during this time, for it is ripe for transformation that can elevate you and others.
When Is the Supermoon in Pisces and Lunar Eclipse?
On Sept. 17, the lunar eclipse will begin around 8:45 pm ET. As the Earth’s shadow slowly begins to cover the moon it will reach its darkest point at 10:44 pm ET. This is when the moon will be in Earth’s umbra, the darkest, inner part of its shadow. In fact, umbra is the Latin word for shadow.
Like a beautiful celestial dance, the Pisces supermoon will peak approximately one minute after the moon is in total darkness at 10:45 pm ET. Saturn will also join in, so be sure to keep your eyes open to a bright gold light near the eclipsed moon. Skygazers rejoice! This is sure to be an unforgettable night.
What Does the Supermoon in Pisces Mean?
Pisces is the water sign that can swim to the depths of our mind. When the moon is in Pisces, we are all gifted with strong psychic abilities, if we want to tap into them. You may experience a fortunate stroke of serendipity in the days leading up to the Pisces supermoon. Or you may have run-ins with people from your past. Because it’s a supermoon, which is when the moon is closest to Earth, the energy is even more transformative.
Full moons are a catalyst for change within ourselves and our lives. Pisces is the 12th and final zodiac sign and it is mutable, which means it’s adaptable and flexible. Take a sip of that tea to navigate through the supermoon and lunar eclipse energy and really make it work for you. Dip into your creative side. If you like to paint, even as a hobby, whip out the brushes and a variety of colors and have at it. Stimulate your musical side by playing sounds your body can’t resist. It just has to get up and move. As you physically move your body, you are shifting energy and releasing. So, don’t be shy. Dance like no one’s watching.
Remember that Pisces is quite empathetic. Under the Pisces supermoon, deep conversations that can make or break a relationship can take place. Communication with self is also super important during this time. Feeling lost? Look at yourself in the mirror and ask, “What do you really want to see unfold in your life?” Then ask, “What is getting in the way?” Take a tender approach to really digging deep to help shed whatever is weighing you down and clear your path of it once and for all.
Tap into the energy of Neptune, the god of the sea and the ruling planet of Pisces associated with dreams and illusions. Like the symbol of Pisces – two fish swimming in the opposite direction – Neptune helps you distinguish what you really need in your life and what you don’t. It can also reveal the things you’ve been using in your life as an escape route, which are really causing blocks. Jupiter is also a ruler of Pisces, which is all about growth and expansion.
Ease into this transformation. Remember that the Pisces supermoon is followed by two more supermoons. So, instead of feeling like you need to immediately do a 360 with your life. Take it slow. Bask in the waters of your deepest emotions and be kind to yourself along the path of discovery. Even on the darkest parts of your path, like the umbra of the moon, sunlight is right around the corner. Keep going.

Spiritual Cleansing Limpia Recipe For the Supermoon in Pisces
Ingredients:
Herbs – mugwort, basil, and/or lemon balm
Essential oils – black pepper, cedarwood, bergamot, and/or juniper berry
Candle – pink or blue
Salts – sea salt and Pink Himalayan
Crystals – amethyst, aquamarine, and/or rose quartz
Palo Santo
Sage
Florida Water
Coconut milk
Water lilies or roses
Ritual:
1. Begin by cleansing your space with sage and palo santo smoke. Watch as the smoke floats around your space and be sure to open windows and allow the negative and stagnant energy to go.
2. Then bring a pot of water to a gentle boil and add a few handfuls of herbs. If you feel called, you can massage the herbs in your hands before adding to the water to really stimulate the flow of its energy and healing properties. Allow the herbs to simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Drain the water into a big bowl through a colander and allow it to cool down to your liking.
4. Add ¼ cup each of sea salt and Pink Himalayan salt and mix it in until dissolved. Mix it in with your hands as long as the water has cooled down enough. If it’s still too warm to the touch, use a wooden spoon and stir.
5. Next, add several drops of essential oil and a few splashes of Florida Water. Stir or mix in.
6. Add a ¼ cup of coconut milk and mix it in. Thank the coconut for its divine blessings.
7. Then lay a few water lilies on top of your beautiful limpia or you can pull off the petals and sprinkle them over the water. Save some of the flowers for a Pisces supermoon altar.
8. Put your bowl aside and gather your candle, crystals, and the rest of your flowers to create your altar. Choose a location where you may want to journal or rest following your limpia. If you’re using water lilies you can add water to a small bowl and place a flower floating on top. Roses can be placed in a vase.
9. Once you place your flowers, surround them with crystals or just one crystal will do. Light your candle and set your intentions so you charge your altar with that energy.
10. Take your limpia bowl to the shower and after cleaning your body physically, place your hands over your heart center and say a prayer. Then, when you are ready, pick up your limpia bowl and gently pour it over your body. Feel the transformation as the water and coconut milk guild down your body spiritually washing away anything that needs to go.
11. Watch as the limpia goes down the drain and say, “So, be it.” You can pat dry with a white towel or air dry.
12. Wrap yourself in something that feels good on your skin like a fluffy, warm robe or a silky number, and enjoy your altar space. Feel free to add anything else to your altar that symbolizes your intentions like a photo of a place or a person.
