These $3 Pasta Bowls Are Such a Good Deal We Almost Didn’t Believe Our Eyes

Pasta bowls are the unsung heroes of any dinnerware set. The oversized, versatile dish, which comes in a variety of materials and designs, can tackle so many jobs beyond just its title. They’re wide enough for large salads, while their shallow yet substantial sides are still functional for saucy entrées.

The TL;DR: pasta bowls have range in the kitchen. However, like most quality dinnerware, they can also be expensive. Fortunately, we found a version at Walmart that looks the part of a $30 dish with a price tag that more accurately resembles something off of a fast food dollar menu. In fact, I almost thought the cost — $2.48 — was a typo when I first stumbled across it.

Mainstays 8.75-inch bowls are made from 100 percent stoneware with a sophisticated gloss finish. The wide design makes them perfect for a variety of foods, including everything from soups and stews to stir fry, sautéed veggies, ice cream, or even roast chicken. There’s really nothing you can’t serve in the plate-like bowls.

They’re both microwave- and dishwasher-safe so cleanup and prep are even simpler, while the stoneware ensures long-lasting durability that can even withstand the most clumsy chefs. Plus, there are three colors to choose from: gray, red, and blue.

Shoppers can attest to the durability and versatility too. They called the dishes stunning and said they’re both perfectly sized and the right hybrid between a bowl and plate. One person added that they retain heat well, while another shared that they work well for all different types of meals.

While the $3 dish is sold individually, it is also part of a larger collection. You can stock up on matching dinner plates, salad plates, mugs, classic bowls, and more. They’re available in a 16-piece set for just $25.

Head over to Walmart to add the stoneware pasta bowls to your online cart, or keep scrolling to browse more dishware that will elevate your next tablescape. We’re eyeing a number of other affordable options, including this $5 Better Homes & Gardens design that shoppers called excellent quality and the four-piece Corelle bowl set that looks so much more expensive than it is.
