‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 3 Trailer

A full trailer for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 has arrived, and there is much to unpack in the three-minute clip.

Set to a mash up of Taylor Swift’s “Daylight” and “Red,” the trailer makes it clear that the audience is in for a rollercoaster with this final season. The season takes place about two years after the events of Season 2, and Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) are still going strong. So strong, in fact, that they want to get married. Of course, Belly’s mom discourages this completely, but the pair seem dead set on saying “I do.”

That is, until Belly is reminded of her lingering feelings for Jeremiah’s brother, Conrad (Christopher Briney). As Belly and Conrad become close again, things start to get messy.

The full trailer expands upon the teaser clip that had fans in a frenzy in April. The short clip contained a romantic lovey-dovey montage of Belly and Jeremiah as their relationship unfolds at Finch University. Set to Taylor Swift’s “Daylight,” the couple can be seen in the school dining hall, on a bench outdoors, participating in a gunny-sack race and more, looking very much in love.

But all of this comes to an abrupt halt as the song transitions into Swift’s “Red (Taylor’s Version)” as Christopher Briney’s Conrad opens the front door to the Cousins Beach house, a candy cane in his mouth. He greets a fire poker-holding Belly, who has chocolate all over her face, in a scene that readers will know from Han’s third book, We’ll Always Have Summer.

Season Three of The Summer I Turned Pretty is led by showrunners Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka. Han, Kucserka, and Karen Rosenfelt serve as executive producers, along with Paul Lee, Hope Hartman, and Mads Hansen for wiip. The series is a co-production of Amazon Studios and wiip.
