2024 VMAs: Halsey Responds to Engagement Rumors With Boyfriend Avan Jogia (Exclusive)
Halsey has been eyeing her fiancé, Avan Jogia, for quite some time.
During her Feb. 13 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the “Bad at Love” singer revealed she’s been in awe of Avan, who she got engaged to last September, since his early days on Nickelodeon’s Victorious. In fact, Halsey confirmed to host Jimmy Fallon that she watched the series—which aired from 2010 to 2013—when she was a teen.
“Yeah, I did,” she said, adding she found out about the sitcom, which also starred Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice, from her two younger brothers Sevian and Dante. “I would come home every day after school to babysit them and [Victorious] was on. Sometimes, my brothers would not be in the room and I would watch the show.”
The 30-year-old, whose real name is Ashley Frangipane, said her siblings often accused her of only watching the series because she had a crush on Avan’s character, Beck. And while they were joking, their detection was spot on.
