Comical Collection of 'Not My Cat' Meowments When People Had An Unexpected Feline Visitor
Hello there, wholesome humans! In case we haven’t made it abundantly clear, here at the I Can Has Cheezburger editorial headquarters, we are completely and utterly obsessed with all things feline. We are endlessly fascinated by our fluffy companions’ ability to be both hilariously unpredictable and strictly committed to a rigorous sleep schedule of 16+ hours a day. Honestly, we aspire to achieve that level of well-restedness.
One of the funniest things about cats is their habit of simply appearing in the most unexpected places at the most random times, as if materializing out of thin air. And thus, the glorious “Not My Cat” phenomenon was born. It’s that amusing moment when you look up from your bed and realize that the cat who has been snuggling with you for hours is, in fact, not yours. It’s when you leave the window open just a little too much, and the next thing you know, the neighbor’s supremely confident cat has strutted in, made herself comfortable, and, of course, finished all of your own cat’s food.
We can’t help but admire this level of feline assertiveness. Cats don’t ask for permission—they simply decide where they belong, and we mere humans are left to adjust accordingly.
