The music industry is rife with one-hit wonders. Los Del Rio. Chumbawamba. Public Enemy (look it up — it’s technically true, and their hit wasn’t even “Fight the Power”). Sometimes, a performer just catches lightning in a bottle and then fumbles it and sends it shattering to the ground. Or, you know, they didn’t write the song.
But movies have one-hit wonders, too. Sometimes, an actor was perfectly built in the shape of one role, and they never really manage to fit into another one. Other times, the movie was just so good that it distracted you from how bad the actor was. Often, they were just children. Whatever the case, it’s what inspired user Kelvin_Inman to ask r/AskReddit, “What actor is a ‘one-hit wonder’?”
