Stand by You: Joe Is the Best of Georgia’s Love Interests

Joe Singh (Raymond Ablack) is the best of Georgia Miller’s (Brianne Howey) love interests. In Ginny & Georgia Season 3, he finally became her leading man since he was the only one to stand by her.

Since Georgia’s arrival in Wellsbury, Joe had feelings for her, but she was always out of his reach.

Their relationship became more complicated when they realized they knew each other as young teenagers but didn’t want anyone else to know.

Initially, Georgia tried to fit into Wellsbury and their society, hoping her past wouldn’t make things difficult for her and her children.

We know secrets never stay buried, and when everyone turned against Georgia, even her husband, Paul, and Ginny’s father, Zion, Joe stood by her when she needed a loyal friend.

He wasn’t even trying to pursue her, but he showed up to prove why he and Georgia are the series’ endgame.

Georgia and Joe Always Had the Wrong Timing Before

Joe and Georgia are one of those relationships that have always had the wrong timing. Georgia first met Joe when she was on the run and pregnant as a teenager.

She didn’t realize it was him initially when she ran into him at his café, but he recognized her when she said one of her infamous phrases: that she always appreciated a good scam.

While Joe generally has followed the rules, Georgia has brought out his daring and playful side. He’s pined for her since he met her, but she wanted to leave her past behind and attempted to become an upstanding citizen.

It never quite worked out, and every time her life fell apart, she ran to Joe for comfort since he never judged her.

That wasn’t quite far to him since he was in love with her, and she kept him friend-zoned.

Despite Georgia’s engagement to Paul, Joe confessed his feelings for her the night before her wedding.

That revelation changed their relationship because Joe felt hurt, as he suspected she returned those affections but wouldn’t stop her facade.

He avoided her for a while after her arrest, but Joe was loyal to a fault, even if he was hurt. He wouldn’t let Georgia suffer unnecessarily.

Joe Showcased Loyalty and Support When Georgia Lost Hope

Joe has the best job, working at Blue Farm Cafe. While he’s one of the sweetest people, he’s versed in picking up gossip.

That’s how he realized Paul and Zion were badmouthing Georgia, and she might need a friend.

Georgia goes back and forth between seeming like a total basket case and like she grew up too fast since she’s a single mom.

When she’s with Joe, she can act younger since he met her when they were teenagers. There was no pretense.

Georgia probably hadn’t played Mario Kart in years, so it was the perfect activity to distract her and allow her to laugh with Joe.

Joe continued to care for Georgia, bringing her food or a shoulder to cry on without expecting anything in return.

I don’t know how Georgia refused a half-naked wet Joe from the sprinkler. Those smoldering looks were hot, but they tried to keep things friend-zoned.

It was ironic that their first kiss occurred after she had learned that Joe had punched Gil.

There was nothing sexier than learning he defended her. That led to a passionate night before Georgia contemplated leaving, thinking she’d be doing everyone a favor.

However, she learned it was harder to leave those you love behind. While Georgia originally thought of her children, she didn’t want to leave Joe either, and he urged her to fight.

Netflix has a terrible habit of leaving massive cliffhangers and making fans speculate.

At least, Netflix has already renewed Ginny & Georgia for Season 4, so we know Georgia’s pregnancy will be resolved, but we don’t know if the father will be Joe or Paul since she slept with both around the same time.

Naturally, we’re rooting for Joe. Paul and Georgia’s relationship appears to be over. They both hurt each other, and Georgia became a different person around Paul.

Georgia acted differently around Joe. Her inner child came out to play more, and she looked like she was having fun. She laughed more.

She looked comfortable around Joe and proved that she no longer wanted to hide anything from him.

Georgia knew she could lose him since Paul and Zion couldn’t handle the truth.

It was very humbling as she literally stood in front of him, asking him to love her as she was.

Joe seemed to understand that Georgia had made her past choices to survive. He loved her in spite of her past, and we loved that his reaction was to kiss her passionately.

They finally both admitted their feelings for each other, even if their timing was still off. Georgia wanted to be with him, but wanted to devote more time to her children instead of running from man to man.

However, Joe may still be involved, regardless, if it’s his baby, and then they’ll need to adapt to this new development.

I hope that they will be a couple regardless, and Georgia’s pregnancy will be a new wrinkle to deal with.
