‘Ryan’s World’ Outfit Pocket.watch Deepens AI Investment

EXCLUSIVE: Pocket.watch, the kids and family media outfit behind franchises such as Ryan’s World and Love, Diana, is expanding its investment into the AI space. The company has developed a proprietary tool, dubbed Channelyzer AI, and has also partnered with Troveo, a leading platform for ethical AI training content. Pocket.watch says both moves will “unlock new monetization opportunities for creators.”

Channelyzer AI is a tool that streamlines the analysis of a creator’s YouTube channel library to optimize content for distribution on premium streaming platforms and to provide critical insights for unlocking franchise potential. By assessing thousands of hours of content, Channelyzer AI provides valuable data identifying the most engaged topics, play patterns, and recurring themes—key signals that inform consumer products expansion, mobile gaming development, and broader franchise strategy.

The new tool generates detailed reports that include: a popularity score for each video, distribution readiness ratings, timecoded compliance and acceptability flags to jump-start the post-production refinement of videos, identification of sponsorships and endorsements while also organizing content into thematically relevant groupings including key themes, topics and categories.

Separately, pocket.watch has partnered with licensing platform Troveo to help creators earn revenue from the use of their videos in generative AI model training. Through this collaboration, Troveo will collect, organize and deliver content from pocket.watch creators who can opt in to license their library to trusted AI companies.

Structured under pre-negotiated, creator-friendly terms, pocket.watch says that the partnership will reinforce the group’s “commitment to generating new and safe revenue streams for its kids and family portfolio to easily monetize content while maintaining ownership rights.”

“YouTube has always been the most democratic platform, and pocket.watch was ahead of the curve in recognizing the power of its creators,” said Chris M. Williams, Founder and CEO of pocket.watch. “And now AI represents the next frontier in the creator landscape, opening an array of new opportunities for greater efficiency, creativity, and revenue. Through Channelyzer AI and our collaboration with Troveo, we’re offering our creators a turnkey solution to ethically and meaningfully participate in the next wave of innovation, without compromising the safety or values of our kid-focused ecosystem.”

These latest investments build on pocket.watch’s previous AI endeavors including the debut of pocket.watch’s Clock.Wise, a tool that scales a once manual process for contextual ad targeting on YouTube Kids to drive unprecedented results for both creators and advertisers. Since launch, campaigns have seen a 3% increase in video completion rates (VCR) and a 22% increase in click-through rates (CTR) compared to traditional contextual channel targeting methods.

Pocket.watch has a creator portfolio of 59 creators, representing 1.3 billion subscribers and more than 955 billion lifetime views. The kids programming outfit, which was established in 2017, saw YouTube as its anchor distribution partner but earlier this year, it expanded its content to premium streaming outlets such as Hulu, Peacock and Amazon Kids+.
