The end is in sight for Survival of the Thickest. Netflix announced today during its upfront presentation that it has renewed the series for the third and final season.
Inspired by Michelle Buteau‘s book of essays, Survival of the Thickest stars Buteau as Mavis Beaumont. Black, plus-size and newly single, Mavis unexpectedly finds herself having to rebuild her life after putting all her eggs in one man’s basket, but she’s determined to not only survive but thrive with the support of her chosen family, a positive attitude, and a cute v-neck with some lip gloss.
Tone Bell and Tasha Smith also star. Guest stars include Marouane Zotti, Peppermint, Liza Treyger, Garcelle Beauvais, Anthony Michael Lopez, Allan K.
