Steven Spielberg’s Daughter Makes Her Horror Debut — and You Can Watch It for Free on Tubi
Summer horror just got a little cooler, and this time, it comes with a Spielberg twist.
Tubi is giving us a thrilling gift on June 27 (aka the day after my birthday, thank you very much) with the premiere of Please Don’t Feed the Children, the directorial debut of Destry Allyn Spielberg.
Yes, that Spielberg. And yes, she’s diving headfirst into horror, which, as we all know, is the best summer genre. Campfires, slasher flicks, and now a viral dystopia with a creepy title? I’m in.
The Tubi Original stars Michelle Dockery — Downton Abbey’s icy aristocrat — flipping the script as a woman with a seriously sinister streak.
Giancarlo Esposito joins the ride (as if this cast wasn’t already elite), and the story follows a group of orphans escaping a virus-ravaged world, only to stumble into something even darker.

Let’s just say, surviving childhood may be the least of their problems.
“We cannot wait to premiere Please Don’t Feed the Children on Tubi and introduce viewers to Destry’s incredible work as a first-time filmmaker,” said Tubi SVP, Content Acquisitions & Partnerships Samuel Harowitz.
“Featuring a captivating young cast, relentless suspense, and Michelle Dockery as a sinister antagonist, horror-thriller fans are in for a chilling experience. We’re grateful that Destry and Paul chose Tubi as the best home to showcase this unique film, and we are excited to bring their vision to Tubi audiences.”
Dockery’s transformation from buttoned-up period drama queen to full-blown horror villain is worth tuning in for alone.
But with a supporting cast that includes Zoe Colletti (Only Murders in the Building), Dean Scott Vazquez (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts), and Andrew Liner (Ransom Canyon), the film promises a tense, stylish, and emotionally loaded ride.

It’s dystopian horror with heart — and maybe a hatchet.
And let’s not forget the Spielberg factor. Destry isn’t just trading on her name; she’s making a statement.
With a gritty script by Paul Bertino and a visual style that’s already being buzzed about in horror circles, this is a debut meant to turn heads (and possibly twist them clean off).
“I am incredibly grateful to be doing what I love with a hard-working cast and crew. It has been a wild ride getting here, and I can’t wait to share this film with everyone,” said director Destry Allyn Spielberg.

If you’ve been looking for the next filmmaker to watch, she may have just walked in with a blood-slicked calling card.
So clear your calendar, cancel your plans, and prep your popcorn.
On June 27, fire up Tubi, turn off the lights, and see what happens when Spielberg DNA meets a nightmare-fueled playground.
And remember… whatever you do: Please Don’t Feed the Children.
