Wembanyama has been on a tear in his second season, averaging 24.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.1 steals and a league-leading 4.0 blocks per game.
He was named an All-Star reserve for the first time in his career on Thursday.
The 21-year-old has missed five games this season with a knee injury in November and a back injury in December.
San Antonio is currently 21-24, only two games out of the 10th seed and the final play-in spot, but have lost seven of their last 10 games. They take on the 23-23 Heat at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT.
