Soleil Moon Frye pays tribute to ex Shifty Shellshock after his death

Soleil Moon Frye is remembering longtime friend and ex-boyfriend Shifty Shellshock following his sudden death.

The rapper and singer-songwriter, best known as frontman and co-founder of the ’90s rock rap band Crazy Town, died June 24 at the age of 49 from an accidental overdose. In a remembrance on Instagram featuring several snapshots with Shellshock (real name Seth Binzer), Frye remembered her ex as the “most charming, badass tattooed angel in mismatched shoes.”

“My heart is whispering a million I love yous for the way you loved my children and I so unconditionally,” the Punky Brewster star wrote. “I can still see your smiling sweet face in middle school when you kissed me in your tunnel of love and the way you swept me away again as we grew up to show me what that timeless kind of love feels like.”

“No words could ever express the love we shared or how we are feeling right now,” she continued. “It is a language all its own. So for now I will use every bit of strength you showed me to hold on to those words you asked me in your beautiful morning gravilly voice on the beach while covering me with kisses. ‘To the people we have lost, we will see them again down the road, right?’ I believe we will Seth.”

“And when we do,” Frye added, “I will instantly see your moon on fire cheek welcoming your family, friends, fans and loved ones under loving double rainbow arches. I love you forever and always.”

Shellshock, who along with Crazy Town catapulted to fame with their hit song “Butterfly,” was found dead in his Los Angeles home last month. The rapper was vocal about his addiction troubles, appearing on VH1 programs Celebrity Rehab and Sober House.

Frye and Shellshock were romantically linked in 2021. The actress shares four children with ex-husband Jason Goldberg.
