Oilers sign forward Andrew Mangiapane to two-year deal

The Edmonton Oilers signed the forward to a two-year contract worth $7.2 million, the team announced. The deal carries an average annual value of $3.6 million.
The 29-year-old appeared in 81 games for the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Capitals in the 2024-25 season, scoring 14 goals and 28 points. He added a goal and an assist in 10 playoff games.
Prior to joining the Capitals last summer, Mangiapane spent parts of seven seasons with the Calgary Flames, who drafted him 116th overall in 2015.
The Toronto native had a career-high 35 goals, 55 points with eight game-winning goals while on the Flames in the 2021-22 season, but has not eclipsed 20 goals since.
