Rosie Perez recalled a time when Madonna wanted her to be a celebrity matchmaker.
During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the 60-year-old actress revealed that she ran into the Queen of Pop while out with another celebrity friend back in the ’90s.
When Madonna asked for help getting set up with the other celebrity, Rosie came through.

The celebrity in question was Tupac.
Rosie explained that the rapper stepped in to be her date for the 1993 Soul Train Music Awards after her actual date backed out at the last minute.
While at the event, Rosie and Tupac bumped into Madonna, who instantly felt a spark.
“She was there and she came up to me and she was like, ‘Yo, what’s up? Y’all are together?’ And I said, ‘No,’ she goes, ‘Really?’ I go, ‘Yeah,’ she goes, ‘Hook me up. I said, ‘You got it,’” the actress recalled, via EW.
Her attempts at matchmaking were successful – Madonna and Tupac were romantically involved for a year before splitting up in 1994.
Madonna opened up about their relationship in 2015. A few years later, we learned what led to their breakup.
