Liberty Steel Industries Jim Weller, 5 More Dead in Plane Crash

The victims of a devastating plane crash in Ohio have been identified.
James “Jim” Weller, the CEO of Liberty Steel Industries Inc., and three members of his family were among six people killed on June 29 in the Howland Township crash, WFMJ reported on June 30.
The Trumbull County Coroner confirmed to the outlet that James, 67, his wife Veronica Weller, 68, their son John Weller, 36, and his partner Maria Weller, 34, were traveling from Ohio to Montana for vacation when the plane crashed seven minutes after takeoff. Pilot Joseph Maxin, 63, and co-pilot Timothy Blake, 55, were also on board and did not survive.
This tragedy, officials said, marks as the deadliest plane crash in the Howland Township area to date.
According to WFMJ, the plane went down in the backyard of a heavily wooded home about two miles west of the airport. And while first responders struggled to reach the site due to the dense woods at first, they were eventually able to recover all six bodies, per the New York Post. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
