France’s First Family is taking legal action.
President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron have filed a defamation lawsuit in the state of Delaware against American podcaster Candace Owens over allegations she made about the couple namely that the First Lady is actually a man, according to the lawsuit which was obtained by E! News. The lawsuit quoted Owens as saying she “would stake [her] entire professional reputation on” the claim.
The lawsuit alleges Owens “used this false statement to promote her independent platform, gain notoriety, and make money,” and that she “disregarded all credible evidence disproving her claim in favor of platforming known conspiracy theorists and proven defamers.”
The suit references an eight-part 2025 podcast series Owens created called Becoming Brigitte, in which she alleged the First Lady was born a man and stole another person’s identity before transitioning to become Brigitte.
Further allegations the influencer made on the podcast, per the lawsuit, were that Brigitte and the President are “blood relatives committing incest,” that Mr. Macron was chosen “to be the President of France as part of the CIA-operated MKUltra program or a similar mind-control program,” and that the pair are committing forgery, fraud, and abuses of power to hide “these secrets.”
