Presbyterian Church in America votes to leave National Association of Evangelicals

(RNS) — Commissioners for the Presbyterian Church in America accepted a movement to depart the Nationwide Affiliation of Evangelicals on Wednesday (June 22) on the PCA’s Basic Meeting in Birmingham, Alabama.

It’s the third time previously decade the theologically conservative Presbyterian denomination has thought-about a measure to depart the affiliation, an umbrella group of 40 evangelical Christian denominations.
