A pedestrian wearing high-visibility clothing has died after he was hit by a ute in an alleged road rage incident in Sydney’s west on Thursday morning.
Police are appealing for information after the 27-year-old man was struck by a white ute that then fled the scene on Jersey Road in Blackett.
The victim was treated by paramedics after emergency services were called at about 8.45am, but he died at the scene.
“As investigations continue police are hoping to speak to the driver of the utility that was seen in the area at the time of the incident,” police said in a statement.
“The vehicle is described as being a white utility with a metal tray, a black canopy and a black toolbox with metal racks on top.”
Police established a crime scene and an investigation was under way.
