Cut to January, Nagal is through to the second round of Australian Open, beating seeded player Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik in the first round. Nagal pocketed a massive $180,000 by qualifying to the second round, and he stands to earn a fortune if he progresses further. Nagal has already pocketed a decent amount of money in the Australian Open, coming through from the qualifying rounds. Nagal will take on China’s Shang Juncheng in the second round. If Nagal manages to win his next game, he will receive $255,000 as prize money.
