Veteran soap star Erika Slezak is heading to Port Charles. The six-time Daytime Emmy winner revealed she has signed “a short-term contract” with ABC’s General Hospital. “At this time, Erika does not know which character she will be playing or when her scenes will air,” the message on her official website reads, “but is excited to be working again with executive producer Frank Valentini and the cast of GH!”
Valentini confirmed the news on X, writing, “I am thrilled to confirm that my dear friend and former ‘One Life to Live’ colleague, Erika Slezak, will appear on @General Hospital this Fall. Stay tuned as we prepare to introduce another daytime legend to Port Charles.”
Slezak is best known for her role as Victoria “Viki” Lord on daytime sudser One Life to Live from 1971 through 2013. She returned for the online revival in 2013. She won six Daytime Emmy awards for her performance, a record for most wins in the Outstanding Lead Actress category.
Her other more recent television credits include guest-starring roles on Fox’s The Resident and CBS’ Blue Bloods.
