Found Isn’t Finished Yet: What We Need in Season 3 (So Save It)!

Fans of Found have been waiting with bated breath as Warner Bros. continues to shop the show around.

While we wait, there’s one truth we can’t ignore: this series isn’t finished telling its story.

And if (when!) a third season gets picked up, there’s so much ground left to cover, so many characters whose stories aren’t finished, and so many truths that still haven’t come to light.

(Steve Swisher/NBC)

Join us as we explore everything we need to see from a third season.

And don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments below. Share if you care. And let’s keep Found on everyone’s radar, shall we?

I’ll see you in the comments!

Zeke’s Past Finally Takes Center Stage

Found's Zeke at the computer.
(Matt Miller/NBC)

Zeke deserved more in Found Season 2. Plain and simple.

Bits and pieces of his story surfaced — childhood trauma, an abduction at the hands of his uncle, and all of it potentially contributing to his agoraphobia.

But there’s a lot more.

  • Duster Season 1 Episode 3 Review: Jim’s Got Whiplash, and Nina’s Got Jim
  • Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 Episode 8 Delivers A Solid, If Typical, Case, But Please Tell Us This Character Isn’t Dying Soon
  • Overcompensating and the Chaotic Truth of Being Queer in College

Found Season 3 needs to dig into Zeke’s history. Give us the flashbacks. Show us how his trauma shaped him.

And for the love of all that is good, give us more Zeke and Lacey. Their quiet, slow-burn chemistry deserves a real chance.

Trent Family Secrets Come Out

Trent is on high alert on Found.
(Matt Miller/NBC)

For most of the season, Sir couldn’t resist taunting “Heavy Boots” with Trent Sr.’s shady involvement in a string of missing persons cases.

We made some headway when M&A solved them and reunited the families during Found Season 2 Episode 15.

But we know there’s more to the Trent family mystery. Whether it ties Sir and Trent by blood or something even darker, Trent knows more than he’s letting on. His evasiveness with Gabi isn’t just guilt — it’s fear.

The third season could finally deliver on that, though.

More Cases, More Justice, More Heart

Gabi stands by the wall on Found.
( Matt Miller/NBC)

At Found’s core, it’s about giving voice to the type of stories, people, and communities who slip through the cracks.

Found is a breath of fresh air. Its commitment to showing who gets forgotten — and who fights to bring them back — is both timely and necessary.

  • How Yellowjackets Season 4 Can Restore the Show’s Status
  • Dancing With the Stars Season 34 Cast: Everything We Know So Far

It’s always one of the things that makes Found so special, and a third season would explore more of those stories.

We’re living in a time when we need those stories most — seeing the humanity in each other and the reassurance that, no matter who you are, where you’re from, or what you look like, you’re worthy of being found.

Dhan’s Trauma and the Origin of “Dhabi” Deserve the Spotlight

(Matt Miller/NBC)

Dhan is Found’s most enigmatic character.

We finally got some more background on Dhan’s captivity and met Mike, the catalyst behind it, during Found Season 2 Episode 22, and after that taste, we’re clamoring for more.

Dhan was a POW for three years, and it left a toll on him that we can’t fathom. It’s well past time to unpack that thoroughly.

We know Dhan credits Gabi for saving him, so it would be fantastic if, via flashbacks, we learned how and why.

Lacey Takes the Lead

(Matt/Miller)

Lacey is the heart of M&A, and when she was taken, everything fell apart.

We also learned via flashbacks how her trauma shaped her life moving forward and dug into the unshakeable bond between the two sisters.

  • Chicago PD: Can the Real Nina Chapman Please Stand Up?
  • Carissa’s Corner: The Power of Long-Running TV — and Why We Should Revisit It Together

With Lacey continuing to advance in her career plans and Gabi making such a life-altering decision, the third season could see Lacey stepping up, taking the lead in new and exciting ways, and keeping M&A together while helping Gabi as best she can.

It would also give the series a chance to delve into her trauma and how she has come into her own since the last abduction. The third season could be about Lacey reclaiming her power, and I would love to see it!

Jamie Continues to Find His Place at M&A

(Matt Miller/NBC)

It’s true that Jamie has been a polarizing addition to the series. He had a rocky beginning when we weren’t certain if he was the real Jamie. His trauma also didn’t manifest in a way that was always palatable.

However, he grew to become a solid addition to the team and felt like one of M&A’s “misfit toys,” with whom Gabi formed a bond and subsequently built a family around. It’s been interesting to see his passion for finding people.

We met all the other members of M&A at the same time they settled into their roles and learned about the agency’s work. However, through Jamie, we get to see firsthand what it’s like when a trauma survivor learns to turn their pain into purpose.

Lena Isn’t Done Yet (And Neither Is Danielle Savre!)

Lena is Found's biggest villain yet.
(Matt Miller/NBC)

Let’s be real; we mostly want to see Danielle Savre playing a fun villainess!

Lena is a deliciously complex wildcard, and Danielle Savre is clearly having a blast playing her.

But there’s more to her than sass and snark. She was Sir’s first victim. He raised her.

Lena may be behind bars, but there’s so much story left to tell with her, especially in relation to Sir.

Sir Survives and Reaches Unpredictable New Heights

( Matt Miller/NBC)

Let’s face it: a villain as compelling as Sir doesn’t go down that easily.

Whether he survives his attack or somehow returns in another shocking twist (memory loss, anyone?), he’s still essential to the Found universe. And Mark-Paul Gosselaar has never been better.

  • The Last of Us: Rounding Up the Highs and Lows of Season 2
  • 9-1-1 Season 8 Report Card: A Rocky Road with Flashes of Brilliance
  • The Rookie Season 7 — The Good, the Bad, and the Chenford

How would Sir react when he learned that Gabi had confessed and made this move to reclaim her power from him? What’s his connection to the Trents?

Found isn’t through with this character yet, and the third season could unlock a treasure trove of new layers for him.

Gabi Reconciles with Her Guilt and Stops Playing Martyr

(Matt Miller/NBC)

We’ve spent the entire sophomore season with Gabi atoning for his sins, specifically for keeping Sir captive and placing her loved ones at risk.

The finale seemingly liberated her from the guilt when she admitted to the public that she, too, is a kidnapper. It sets the groundwork for Gabi’s polarizing national take.

She’ll likely be a folk hero to many or a raging hypocrite to others. But with a grander stage filled with scrutiny, it opens the door further for Gabi to come to grips with her trauma, how she copes, and explore why she sacrifices herself to the wolves at every turn.

A third season could mean more deep reflection and exploration of one of television’s most complex and compelling female protagonists.

Will Gabi’s admission liberate her or cause more pain? It’s one of many questions the season finale prompts, and I desperately need someone to pick this series up so we can touch on this further.

Let’s Finish What We Started

(Steve Swisher/NBC)

There are too many unanswered questions, broken hearts, and powerful, authentic stories waiting to be told.

So, please let Warner Bros find it a new home! Someone, save it already!
