“No one wanted him”: 3-year-old cat returned to shelter because of his awwdorably crossed eyes, but gets adopted by heartwarming hoomans who love him for his cute quirk

This cat owner adopted this cross-eyed cutie when he was 3 years old after he had been in the shelter for six months. When he first arrived at the shelter, Wasabi was zooming up to all the hoomans looking for frens like “HI, I AM READY FOR LOVE.” But after getting passed up again and again, he turned into a sad, squishy loaf with zero meowtivation. 

Then, his forever family walked in, saw his smooshy face, and immediately said “that’s our guy.” 

Now, he’s living his best nine lives. Cuddles? Check. Sunbeam snoozin’? Check. Chasing critters? Double check. He’s offically earned the nickname “mice terminator” and turns out he hunts better than his non-googly eyed brother. No shade to Mango. 

Wasabi may look a little silly, but he’s got the biggest heart and the best snuggles. He’s got that “I was born to be loved” energy.
