YouTuber Ms. Rachel Reveals Inspiration Behind Baby Girl’s Name
It’s a beautiful day in Ms. Rachel’s neighborhood.
The YouTuber (real name Rachel Griffin Accurso) shared her emotional reaction after her husband and collaborator Aron Accurso—with whom she recently welcomed her second baby—gifted her a handwritten composition from children’s television host Mister Rogers.
“I opened it and was moved to tears touching the paper,” Rachel wrote on Instagram May 5 alongside a photo of the framed gift. “I’m crying right now as I type this. I was holding something my hero had held and wrote music on.”
A beloved children’s content creator herself, the 42-year-old noted the gesture came as she was “feeling down” and led her to reflect on how the late broadcaster (real name Fred Rogers) impacted her own childhood.
“When I was a little girl (raised by an amazing single mom) I watched lots of PBS,” she explained. “When Mister Rogers’s trolly headed back through the TV tunnel I tried to physically block it with my hands because that would mean the show would go on longer.”
