McDonald’s Is Releasing a ‘Pet Simulator’ Happy Meal That Comes With 2 Toys

McDonald’s is adding a little more magic to the holiday season by dropping a special new Happy Meal with not one but two toys that make sharing a little easier.

On November 26, participating McDonald’s restaurants around the U.S. will launch the new Pet Simulator Happy Meal, which includes one toy for the kid in your life and another for them to give away to someone they love. Best of all, the second toy already comes pre-wrapped, making gift-giving all the easier.

“We hope this special Happy Meal inspires kids to share during this season of giving. Sharing is such a big part of the McDonald’s ethos — whether it’s sharing your fries, your McNuggets, or a McFlurry — and now we’re giving our youngest fans the opportunity to do that with their Happy Meal, too. This meal has two toys — one for you and one for you to gift,” Jennifer Healan, the company’s VP of U.S. marketing, brand, content, and culture, shared. “Whether they choose to gift their extra toy to a family member, make a friend smile, or show kindness to a neighbor, it’s all about helping kids feel the joy of giving this holiday season.”

Each Happy Meal includes a holiday-inspired sticker sheet that can be used to make 18 different Pet Simulators, so really, it feels more like 18 toys in one.

“From my experience with families, I’ve seen that children are naturally inclined to be generous,”  Dr. Jazmine McCoy, a family psychology expert and mom of three, added in the statement. “They just need gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement. The McDonald’s Pet Simulator Happy Meal gives parents and caregivers an easy and accessible way to nurture their children’s empathy and let them experience the true joy of giving during the holiday season.”

The Pet Simulator Happy Meals will be available until December 16 or while supplies last, so get one while you can. McDonald’s noted that there is one more way for people to get into the giving spirit this season, and that’s why rounding up their McDonald’s purchase, which will go toward supporting families in need via Ronald McDonald House Charities, which is celebrating its 50th year, right in time for this gift-giving season.
