UPDATE: It took less than 30 minutes to find Leo, thanks to multiple tips from our incredible Chive community. His full name is Leo Romero Jr. After surviving more than four hours in the floodwaters, Leo was pulled to safety by rescue workers.
It breaks my heart to report that Leo’s father, Leo Sr., is still missing, along with his stepmother, Natalia, and his younger brother. Absolutely tragic.
Leo is expected to be released from the hospital this afternoon. Today is also Leo Jr.’s 19th birthday, and his father’s birthday as well.
