Kayla Rae Reid is maintaining a positive outlook.
The real estate agent shared a cryptic message amid speculation that estranged husband Ryan Lochte cheated on her.
“Reminders I’m telling myself right now,” Kayla—who shares kids Caiden, 7, Liv, 6, and Georgia, 23 months, with Ryan—wrote in a June 28 Instagram carousel post. “You’re stepping into the best chapter of your life—you just have to heal first. Sometimes God allows the betrayal…because it leads to the breakthrough.”
“Most people have no idea what I’ve endured. Ignore their opinions. Truth always reveals itself,” she continued. “Divorce isn’t the end of my story. It’s the beginning of my rebirth. I didn’t choose to be broken, but I’m choosing to rebuild.”
Kayla—who filed for divorce in March after seven years of marriage—captioned her post, “First you survive, then you thrive!”
The 33-year-old’s social media message came after Ryan shared that he wouldn’t be engaging in reports about what led to the demise of their marriage.
