What happened in yesterday’s IPL match?
Punjab Kings commenced their IPL 2025 campaign on a victorious note after beating GT in a high-scoring contest. Batting first, PBKS posted a mammoth 244-run target, with skipper Shreyas Iyer leading from the front with a 97-run knock. Shashank Singh 16-ball 44-run cameo helped the side nearly get to 250 runs.
In response, GT got off to a bright start thanks to Sai Sudharsan’s 74-run knock. Jos Buttler (56) and impact player Sherafane Rutherford (46) nearly got the team across the line. However, PBKS bowlers did very well in the death overs and finished with a 11-run win.
