It’s getting harder to Netflix and Chill when you’ve already binged the best shows on the streaming network. But have you?
Some of my favorite shows on Netflix are the ones I’ve stumbled upon purely by accident.
For some reason, they never popped up on my home page or were listed in my top 10, which might also be the case for you.
Need some Comedy in your life, or a sci-fi thriller perhaps?
How about romance or maybe something dark and supernatural? Check, check, and check.
Here’s a list of seven shows on Netflix that you’re missing out on if you’re not watching.
You
Let’s get this one out of the way first, since You is the hottest show on Netflix right now, with the recent release of its fifth and final season.
Based on Caroline Kepnes’ novel of the same name, the psychological thriller centers on the character Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley.
The charming Joe, narrating the series, pursues a new love interest each season and takes extreme measures to get their attention.
His intense obsession leads to stalking, kidnapping, and killing anyone who gets in his way.
However, once he wins the affection of his latest obsession, he becomes fixated with someone new, and Joe’s disturbing cycle of manipulation and violence takes a new turn.
Fisk
If the series You is too dark for your taste, Fisk is the perfect comedic relief.
The Australian comedy has finally hit Netflix, so grab your popcorn and get ready to watch the first two seasons.
The show centers on quirky lawyer Helen Tudor-Fisk.
After her marriage and career fall apart, she takes a job in a small suburban firm specialising in wills and probate.
What follows is a hilarious mashup of characters and quirky situations that will make you laugh out loud.
Picture The Office, but with Fisk as the female version of Michael Scott! And, yes, Fisk’s coworkers are just as witty and ridiculous as the associates at Dunder Mifflin.
Black Mirror
If the others are too low-brow for you, sophisticated lot, try your luck with the thought-provoking series Black Mirror.
This dark and mind-bending series will hurt your brain—in a good way, of course—as it taps into scenarios you never thought possible until now.
The anthology series features self-contained episodes that explore the dark side of technology and its potential to exploit the evil side of human nature.
There are seven seasons of Black Mirror to binge on Netflix, so if you’ve never seen the show, settle in for a wild ride. You won’t be disappointed.
A Discovery of Witches
This AMC series hooked me in from A Discovery of Witches Season 1 Episode 1, and three seasons later, my interest did not wane.
This series is an adaptation of Book 1 from Deborah Harkness’s All Souls trilogy, A Discovery of Witches. It starts with the show’s main character, Diana Bishop.
Unknown to her, the young scholar comes from a line of witches, and when she accidentally finds an enchanted manuscript, she attracts the attention of supernatural beings.
Diana embarks on a dangerous journey to understand the manuscript’s secret, aided by her love interest, an ancient vampire with a dark family history.
Meanwhile, the couple’s forbidden romance threatens the longstanding alliance among the creatures in the Congregation, an institution that helps to maintain peace among vampires, witches, and other supernatural beings.
A Discovery of Witches Seasons 1-3 are currently streaming on AMC+ and Netflix.
Rick and Morty
Of course, I had to include an animated series in the mix.
Rick and Morty, an Adult Swim series, is worth checking out, with the first six seasons now available for streaming on Netflix.
The show stars Rick Sanchez, a brilliant but immoral scientist, who, by the way, is also an alcoholic.
The series follows Rick and his 14-year-old grandson Morty on their interdimensional adventures, traveling to different planets and battling other life forms.
The duo’s bizarre escapades involve Rick’s family, including his daughter Beth, her husband Jerry, and their daughter Summer.

Love on the Spectrum
If you have lost all faith in humanity — and let’s be honest, who hasn’t? Love on the Spectrum will restore some of that!
Dubbed as intimate, heartfelt, and humorous, this romantic documentary series gives insight into how people with autism spectrum disorder navigate the unpredictable world of dating.
Recently releasing its third season, Love on the Spectrum mixed in some new faces with the previous fan faves Tanner Smith, Abbey Lutes, James B Jones, Dani Bowman, and Conner Tomlinson.
Tune in to the show and see life through the lens of neurodivergent people in a neurotypical world.
The Chosen
This might sound dramatic to those who’ve never tuned in to The Chosen, but it is hands down the best retelling of Jesus’s life and ministry I have ever seen.
Season 1 started as a crowdfunding project for creator and director Dallas Jenkins, and quickly grew in popularity as it resonated with millions worldwide.
Set in first-century Israel against the backdrop of Roman oppression, the historical Christian drama depicts Jesus’s short time on earth, his sermons, miracles, crucifixion, and resurrection.
Actor Jonathan Roumi embodies the character of Jesus to the core. His co-stars, who play Jesus’s disciples and followers, are also phenomenal in their roles.
The Chosen Season 5, was released in theaters in March and will be available for Prime Video subscribers on June 15.
However, Seasons 1-4 are currently streaming on Netflix and Prime Video, and viewers can also watch for free on The Chosen app.
