I stopped shaving my body hair more than 10 years ago – people are always staring, but men love my fuzzy legs and armpits

One hairy lady has revealed that even though people constantly glare at her bushy pins, men are supposedly obsessed with them.

Aria Loca from Mexico is fed up with society reinforcing the idea that women need to have hairless bodies – so she’s rebelling against the norms.

The 34-year-old has opted for a more low-maintenance look, and she doesn’t care who can see her fuzzy parts – at all.

Although her hairy appearance attracts some puzzled looks, Aria says men online are completely enamoured by her bushy style.

But despite receiving daily messages from men professing their love for her fluffy pins and armpits – her natural look has still brought tension into her dating life. 

The electrical journeywoman decided to ditch the shaving foam at the age of 21 after being inspired by Patti Smith’s Easter album cover – which features the singer showing off her hairy armpits

‘I was once in a relationship with someone that wasn’t into it. I kept shaving to please them but I would never do that now,’ Aria revealed.

‘If they can’t fully accept me, they’re not for me, and I’m not for them.’

But after building her TikTok page – @vivalahippieloca – around her fuzzy body hair, the electrical journeywoman is now often showered with compliments from men. 

‘Now I get comments from men every day saying how much they love hairy legs and armpits on women,’ she shared. 

Aria, who began growing out her body hair at 21, was initially inspired by Patti Smith’s Easter album cover – which features the singer showing off her hairy armpits. 

Explaining why she ditched the shaving foam over a decade ago, she said: ‘I saw other women showing off their body hair and it seemed so rebellious and badass, 

‘A lot of us don’t realise we’ve been brainwashed since birth to fit societal norms.’

She added: ‘Women with smooth, hairless skin are plastered everywhere and that’s what we think women should look like.’

Even though, Aria now doesn’t care who stares at her body hair, it has caused issues in her past relationships

Since growing her body hair out she has never looked back, divulging that she would never shave for a partner ever again 

The 34-year-old claims her friends envy her confidence, as they too wish they could embrace their natural fuzziness. 

‘I have received some comments from friends saying they wish they could stop shaving like me, but they’re too scared of what others will say,’ she shared.

However Aria’s journey to embracing her natural self hasn’t been a walk in the park, as she is often on the tail-end of online hate – but she doesn’t let it get her down.

‘Negative comments come from online. There’s always going to be haters, not much you can do about that,’ she quipped.

‘I don’t really think much about what other people may think.

‘I enjoy spreading awareness though and like to think I could be changing perspectives, just like mine was changed.

However the critics are water of a ducks back for the content creator who believes everyone should embrace their natural bodies more

‘I may get some stares in public but I’ve never had a negative comment in person.’

The content creator believes everybody should be more accepting of their natural selves.

‘We’re all beautiful the way we are and if women weren’t meant to have body hair then we wouldn’t have body hair, but it’s there for a reason,

‘I love embracing my womanhood by embracing my body hair.’
