Directions
1. Place quinoa and 2 cups of water in a medium pot and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until quinoa has absorbed all of the water.
3. Remove from the heat and let it sit, covered for 10 more minutes.
4. Add the butter if using, and fluff the cooked quinoa with a fork.

What is the ratio of liquid and quinoa?
The basic liquid/quinoa ratio is 1 volume of quinoa for 2 volumes of liquid. If you like your quinoa softer and a bit creamy, use a little more liquid.
