Peep this Grace Kelly tribute.
The late actress’ granddaughter Camille Gottlieb recreated her iconic Rear Window look on July 12, wearing an updated version of the tulle dress originally designed by Oscar-winning costumer Edith Head to the Monaco Red Cross Gala.
Custom made by Italian designer Elisabetta Franchi, the new gown featured a similar black off-shoulder bodice and billowing white skirt. But as a modern take on the ivy embroidery on Kelly’s onscreen frock, gemstones arranged in a vine pattern were added around Gottlieb’s waist.
The 27-year-old complete her outfit with diamond earrings and pendant choker by Cartier, the same jeweler responsible for Kelly’s engagement ring from husband Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
Crediting Franchi with bringing the vision to life, Gottlieb wrote on Instagram July 13, “I was able to pay tribute to my grandmother with this beautiful dress.”
Gottlieb was joined by her older brother Louis Ducruet and his wife Marie Ducruet at the event.
