George Clooney has released his second statement in a matter of weeks, after his July 10 press release asking President Joe Biden to step down.

Now, the 63-year-old actor, who is also known to be a big Democratic fundraiser, has released a new statement on Tuesday (July 23) after the President announced he would be stepping down from the nomination and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as the new nominee.

In a statement to CNN today, George said, “President Biden has shown what true leadership is. He’s saving democracy once again. We’re all so excited to do whatever we can to support Vice President Harris in her historic quest.”
