Flavor Flav was so excited to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange that he accidentally sent the gavel flying into the crowd!

The hip-hop legend joined the U.S. Women’s Water Polo Team to ring the bell on Monday afternoon (September 9) in New York City.

When Flav smacked the gavel down, he accidentally let go and it flew into the crowd, accidentally hitting his manager, who was recording the moment on video. You’ve gotta see the clip!

“They said it was good luck if I hit it hard,” Flav captioned the video on his Instagram page.

Flav has had a busy trip to New York with the U.S. Open and New York Fashion Week. Next up, he’ll be attending the VMAs!
