Emotional moment bride and groom are treated to a surprise serenade of their favourite song by their guests after they all studied musical theatre together

A musical-theatre mad couple were touched and surprised when their closest friends pulled out a surprise performance of one of their favourite numbers on their special day.

After the big day, a wedding guest, on Instagram as @crazynewmumma, posted video of her friend tying the knot with her husband in their own inimitable way.

She captioned the video post: ‘I couldn’t not share this moment from the weekend as I’m sooooo proud to have been a part of it!’

The magical video shows the congregation waiting for the couple, Bonita and Ryan in the celebration hall.

The bride and groom along with a number of the guests met at ‘Limelight Theatre Company’ which was founded in 2015 by musical director Mark Sellar.

The chosen song for the flash mob was ‘One Day More’ – said to be one of the couple’s favourite songs, that the drama group never got to perform while they were there.

Of course, the surprise is one that newlyweds Bonita & Ryan will never forget: ‘A magical surprise performance by their amazingly talented wedding party / cast! on their New Year’s Eve Wedding day,’ according to a post on Instagram.

Speaking to MailOnline.com Sellar said: ‘I wish them all the best and feel very proud that Limelight could be a part of their special day.’

Meanwhile, writing about the big day online, bride Bonita penned how special her stay at the Gonville hotel in Cambridge with her new husband had been.

She wrote: ‘Mini mooning with a stay at our favourite hotel.

‘Enjoyed our Bentley tour & some gorgeous meals!

‘One place we cannot rave about enough is

‘I’m a huge fan of Japanese food & eat a lot of it, but this was some of the best I’ve ever tasted & the cocktails were amazing! We ate & drank lots, we were shocked how reasonable our bill was!

‘We rested lots, ate cake in bed & had quality time just us, to then finish off with the family! Was such a perfect few days!’

The wedded couple described their day as: ‘A magical surprise performance by their amazingly talented wedding party / cast! on their New Year’s Eve Wedding day.’ 

Another wedding guest left a compliment on social media writing: ‘You look like a real life princess!! Massive congratulations xx’

Their delighted friends shared their happiness at being part of the couple’s big day.

One wrote: ‘The most incredible day! And so thankful to be a part of it! Love you both.’

A similar message shared: ‘What a beautiful photo❤️❤️❤️ such a beautiful day too xxxx.’  

Another sweet write-up said: ‘Mrs wright you are soooo beautiful & im proud to have been with you yesterday seeing you both marry the loves of your lives.’
