This is even better than what’s on TV.
And that’s a hard contest to win, considering just how good shows were this year. Indeed, Brenda Song and Harvey Guillén announced the Emmy nominees for 2025 in a July 15 livestream, and small screen stars are getting their much-deserved flowers.
After Nobody Wants This, the beloved Netflix comedy starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody and produced by Erin Foster, earned three nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series as well as Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Lead Actress, Kristen was quick to express her shock with reaction photos on Instagram.
“Finding out I was nominated for an Emmy,” Kristen wrote alongside the photos in a July 15 post. “Finding out @erinfoster was nominated for an Emmy!!!!”
In the last few years, the Emmys have been dominated by beloved shows like Abbott Elementary (which has earned four wins and now 30 nominations since its first eligible year in 2022) and The Bear, which broke a record last year for scoring 11 wins in one night, on top of eight additional wins for previous years.
History could be repeating itself in 2025, considering The Bear scored 13 more nominations, while Abbott Elementary has come away with six, including star Quinta Brunson‘s fourth for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. (See every nomination here.)
