Drew Starkey went from appearing on the Netflix teen drama series Outer Banks to working with acclaimed stars like actor Daniel Craig and director Luca Guadagnino on Queer, but he says both sets were just as intimidating.
The 30-year-old actor was joined by Luca for the premiere of Queer at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on Monday (September 9) in Toronto, Canada.
Drew was all smiles while posing for photos with fans on the red carpet!
In a recent interview, Drew was asked about Queer being his biggest film role yet and if he felt intimidated to work with Luca.

“I always feel like I’m messing it up, especially early on I’m like, ‘This is not right,’” he told Variety. “But I knew that I could trust Luca very quickly because he would tell you if it’s not right. A lot of times it’s my own insecurities. Us actors are little fragile, insecure people. We just want this approval. Once I was able to shed that after getting into filming, it was kind of smoother sailing. But yeah, it’s always intimidating. No matter what. I mean, I feel that on Outer Banks too. The first week or two, I’m like, ‘Ugh, I’m ruining this.’”
