Domino’s Is Adding Mac & Cheese to Its Menu — and It’s Coming in These 2 Flavors
1992 was a big year. A League of Their Own, Aladdin, and A Few Good Men were all in movie theaters. Cardi B, Charlie XCX, and the best Jonas Brother were all born. And Domino’s introduced its breadsticks, which were the first non-pizza menu item that the chain offered across the U.S.
Fast-forward 32 years and Domino’s now serves everything from chicken wings and loaded tots, to Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches and Chocolate Lava Crunch Brownies. Later this month, Domino’s will be adding another non-pizza item to its menu, just in time for the changing seasons.
Starting on Monday, September 23, Domino’s will serve Mac and Cheese in two different versions. The Michigan-based chain will offer a 5-Cheese Mac and Cheese, which is a combo of penne pasta topped with a creamy blend of American, cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan-Asiago cheese and finished with Alfredo sauce. It will also have a Spicy Buffalo 5-Cheese Mac and Cheese, which takes the “standard” mac and adds a generous topping of fiery Buffalo sauce. Mac lovers who want to further customize their pasta orders can add sliced jalapeños or bacon for $0.99 each.
“Domino’s is continuing to innovate with intent and expand our menu with additions that cater to what our customers want,” Kate Trumbull, Domino’s senior vice president and chief brand officer, said in a statement.
“Our new Mac and Cheese dishes are sure to satisfy any craving — whether they’re enjoyed as a meal or shared with family and friends. There is nothing like the comfort of Domino’s Mac and Cheese on a crisp fall day, so grab a cozy blanket, curl up, and savor every warm bite of cheesy deliciousness.”
Customers who are Mac and Cheese-curious can order the new dish in Domino’s Mix and Match Deal, which is a combo of two or more menu items — including the new Mac — for $6.99 each. Also, Domino’s Rewards members can cash in 60 points for a free order of Mac and Cheese. (If you’re not a Domino’s Rewards member, you can sign up for free on the Domino’s website, and earn 10 points for every $5 spent.)
Earlier this year, Domino’s joined Uber Eats, marking the first time that its pizzas and other menu items were available to order through another platform. That also means you have two app options whenever you’re ready to slide from Brat Summer into Cozy Fall. Or into Mac and Cheese Fall, your choice.
