Disney Cruise Line crew member shows off her cabin
Jessi Buckley is an entertainer for Disney Cruise Line. She’s a mainstage swing and dance captain on Disney Dream, so unlike many crew members, she does not have a roommate or a tiny cabin featuring bunk beds.
“This cabin is pretty spacious and pretty amazing,” she shared in an episode of her “The Jessi Vlog” YouTube series. “So I really wanted to share how I have it decorated, how it’s all set up, and show you a little cabin tour.”

Buckley’s cabin is not typical for a crew member, even most entertainers. It appears to be a full-size passenger-style cabin, and it even has a porthole window.
That’s very rare as most crew cabins, and even most crew areas onboard, lack any exposure to outside light. A crew member doing a job in a windowless area of the ship may go days, or even weeks, without any exposure to natural light.
All ships have some amount of outdoor space dedicated to crew members, but many workers would have to choose between sleeping and going outside to use those areas.
Buckley, however, does not face that issue as her status as an entertainer allows her to access passenger areas of the ship when she’s not performing, rehearsing, or otherwise working onboard.

So when you first enter the cabin, this is what you’ll see is the three closets right here. There’s lots of storage as you can see there.
That is the front door. And then this is the door to the bathroom. I love having one of these shoe racks to keep everything organized.
But then, when you go into the bathroom, it is also very spacious. So over here is the shower. I have a filtered shower head, which is really nice for ship water just because it gets a lot of the chlorine and other chemicals out and filtered.
So the rest of the bathroom is over here. Nice toiletry cabinet here with mirrors on both the inside and the outside. So that’s really good.
Lots of storage space there. Then as we make our way actually into the room, there’s a couch with these two side tables, again, with lots of storage on both sides here. I have this tapestry that was left from the previous cast, but I just love how it looks.
I think it’s really pretty. And then over here, I have a wall calendar that I put all of my special dates on. Here’s a look at that front entranceway once again.
And then this leads into the desk. So the desk has this great mirror for getting ready in the morning, which is really useful. Up top, I keep all of my spare coffee and tea supplies.
And it’s also just a really nice place to add some decorations. I’ll soon be decorating for the fall, which will be really fun. On the bottom shelf, we have our TV, which is above the fridge.

Disney crew cabin has space for food and coffee
So the nice size fridge to keep all of your goodies in. Here’s a look at all of the desk space. It’s a lot of counter space, which is really great.
I have my little coffee station over here, which I use every single morning. Then over here, we have the bed with my favorite view, the porthole. It is a little bit of a foggy, cloudy sea day today, but I like it; it’s a little bit moody, a good day for reading.
So at the foot of the bed, you’ll see that I have this curtain rod up, which I hang spare blankets on.
And then under that towel are my suitcases, which are all tucked inside each other. It’s really nice to have them at the foot of the bed so they’re not in the way of the cabin.
One of my favorite things is having this Kindle stand. I use my remote control to read in bed, and it also can swivel so I can read on the couch as well, which is the perfect book setup.

I’ve also put up these curtains. I’ve attached them with magnets to the ceiling. I think that this adds a really nice separation to the room. It kind of looks like a canopy of sorts, so I think that that looks really pretty. It gives it a very nice homey feel.
I just love it. And a cabin wouldn’t be complete without pictures to remind you of home. And there you have it.
That is a look at my cruise ship crew cabin. I have loved making this feel like my home away from home as I’ve been away for the past few months. Thanks so much for watching, and I’ll see you in the next video.
