‘Dance Moms’ alum Christi Lukasiak arrested for DUI

Dance Moms vet Christi Lukasiak is in legal trouble.

The former reality star, 47, was arrested on June 27 on a DUI charge in Murrysville, Penn., according to court records. Lukasiak has other traffic infractions documented in Pennsylvania court records, though this is her first infraction for driving under the influence.

Reps for Lukasiak did not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly’s request for comment.

CBS News reported that Lukasiak allegedly crashed her Audi Q7 into a tree, that she appeared glassy-eyed upon interacting with authorities, and that she told a police officer that she’d had two glasses of wine that night. The outlet also noted that Lukasiak agreed to typical field sobriety tests, including a breathalyzer that allegedly confirmed the presence of alcohol in her blood.

Meanwhile, USA Today reported that Lukasiak allegedly declined submitting a blood draw in order to test her blood alcohol level after the incident.

Lukasiak has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Aug. 13, according to court documents. Her attorney told PEOPLE that she had not yet entered a plea for the charge. Her prior infractions were for violating rules on the Pennsylvania turnpike in 2014, driving without proper inspection in 2015, and speeding in 2021.

Lukasiak and her daughter Chloé appeared on the first four seasons of Dance Moms from 2011 to 2014, and also reappeared for part of season 7 in 2017. The family had a contentious on-screen relationship with instructor Abby Lee Miller. The Lukasiaks also returned for the Lifetime reunion special Dance Moms Reunion 2024 in May.
