Dan Reynolds Reveals How He Bonded with Minka Kelly Before They Ever Met in Person | Dan Reynolds, Minka Kelly | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip
Imagine Dragons singer Dan Reynolds is revealing how he first bonded with his girlfriend Minka Kelly.
They were introduced by a mutual friend, and didn’t meet in person for several weeks because she was working in the UK. They were first linked in November of 2022.
At the time, Dan ended up sending her some of his music he was working on, and in exchange, Minka decided to send him passages and drafts of her memoir, “Tell Me Everything,” which included lots of details about her love life, tension on the Friday Night Lights set, and more.
Dan told People, “She’s like, ‘Well, if you’re going to share your art, I can share something with you, but it’s very vulnerable for me. Do you want to do this or not?’ She was very scared for me to read the book because we hadn’t met, just as much as I was scared for her to hear a song that I’d written. But we shared it and then it ended up being a really beautiful thing and brought us a lot closer. I think it helped us both kind of understand each other on a deeper level quite quickly.”
He added, “It was a really strange and awesome way to meet someone because I was hearing all her life stories from youth to now, and she had a really hard, colorful, beautiful life. Getting to read it all before you even meet somebody… I’ve never had that kind of introduction to someone.”
Minka‘s book included a lot about ex boyfriend Taylor Kitsch, who she met while filming their hit TV show Friday Night Lights. She also spoke about why she didn’t connect with her female co-stars on the set of the series, and who the cast sided with during her “toxic” romance with Taylor. In addition, she revealed why they ended up breaking up in the first place.
