Daily Roundup 7/4 – Jesse Palmer Comments on the Golden Bachelor, Jax Taylor Answers Questions, Big Brother 27 Reveals Its Night One Twists, & a Major Anniversary Yesterday

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality C Podcast. I’m your host reality. Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this 4th of July. Good show for you. We’re gonna talk about what Jesse Palmer said yesterday about the Golden Bachelor. Also Jax Jax Taylor answers questions on his podcast about things going on in his life.

Got that Big brother update that I did not cover yesterday and there was a giant anniversary yesterday, 40 year anniversary yesterday. I will talk about what that was and we will get to all that momentarily. So I wanna immediately jump into what Jesse Palmer said. First off, I wanna say happy 4th of July to everybody.

Be safe out there tonight. Don’t light off any fireworks in your hand. Nothing like that. Be careful. Inevitably though, every year somebody does something, we’re gonna read a story about how somebody lit a firework and hurt themselves or hurt somebody else. Just. Don’t get me started on fireworks. Anyway, my friends know and I’ll leave it at that.

Alright, so yesterday I heard, I hope you listened to podcast number four 50 with Chad and Lizzie from Game of Roses. I think a really good conversation and you know, I’m at the point right now where I, I mean, I have no idea where the show is headed. In terms of the Golden Bachelor, are they keeping Mel, are they not?

I haven’t heard anything new in the last 24 hours, so I’ll just go off of The last thing I heard was the situation is still fluid and they have not a hundred percent made a decision. It’s still possible that Mel will be the Golden Bachelor, and it’s still possible they will recast him. Jesse Palmer was doing Press for Bachelor Paradise.

He was asked about it yesterday and this was his answer. I’ve seen the headlines, obviously because I’m on social media. I have not heard the podcast. We haven’t started filming Golden yet, so I haven’t spent a ton of time with Mel. The small amount of time I have spent with him, he seems like a good guy, but I know I’m gonna get to spend a lot more time with him pretty soon.

I’m sure that’s something we’re going to talk about, which basically is saying nothing because if the higher ups are still deciding on what to do with Mel. Uh, they don’t need to include Jesse in anything. He has no executive producer credits on this show. He’s just the host. So they could easily make a decision and say, oh, yeah, by the way, Jesse, we’re replacing him and not even include him.

But maybe if you’re the host of this show, I don’t know, Jesse, maybe listen to the podcast. How about actually giving us your thoughts on what he said instead of just pretty much, well, I’m gonna ignore it. I’ll sweep it under the rug. And that’s where I haven’t listened to all Bachelor Nation podcasts.

Obviously I know what Chad and Lizzie think. I know what she’s all batch thinks. I know what Courtney thinks. I know what Dave thinks. I know what the content creators think. There isn’t a single content creator that’s not affiliated with Bachelor Nation that is covering this, who is like, yeah, give Mel a chance.

I think it’s great. Not one. As for the Bachelor affiliated podcast, I don’t know what their stance is. Has Kaitlyn chimed in on this? Have Ben and Ashley chimed in on this? Have Kathy and Susan chimed in on this? Have Joe and Serena chimed in on this because if any one of their takes is anything other than this guy should be recast, they are shills for the franchise.

And you can listen to whoever you want to, but you’re listening to propaganda if you listen to their show. I’m sorry. That’s what you are. Nobody can listen to what Mell Owen said on that podcast and be like, yeah, I’m down with that. I can’t wait till this guy’s the Golden Bachelor. He seems really open to finding love.

You don’t win in that argument. So I don’t know what those people have said. I would hope they would have the balls to speak out. But the problem is don’t they get paid indirectly on their podcast through the show? They are bachelor affiliated shows. I don’t think they are going to absolutely torch the show like I have for the last five days.

Get this guy out of the lead role. It makes no sense. I know. The higher ups in Bachelor Nation, the producers, the executive producers, the creators, the people that make decisions about this. I know they have seen everything that has been written about this guy, and they’ve seen all the comments that people are chiding in on.

Nobody wants him as your golden bachelor. Nobody. So if you do give him to us, how in the world do you frame that? What are they going to say? He didn’t mean it not true, he said just being honest on the podcast, like if they, and you heard what Chad said yesterday, he thinks they’re just going to gloss over it.

They gloss over it until they start filming. They won’t even bring it up until they start filming and it will become part of a storyline when they film along the lines of, you know, he thought going into this, he didn’t want anybody 45 to 60, but he sees all these wonderful women over 60 and he realizes the error of his ways.

I am telling you right now, if anybody buys that line of garbage, I’ve got some land to sell you. This guy has already shown us who he is. There’s no reason whatsoever to believe anything he says when it comes to the women on the show, they might be great. They might be great. Catches all of them over 60.

But if he says, wow, boy, did I really misjudge them? I should have never have said that. It doesn’t change the fact that we know this guy likes much younger women. His ex-wife is 20 years younger than him. He’s not all of a sudden being interested in dating 60-year-old women. It’s as simple as that. So it doesn’t matter what he says.

It doesn’t matter what any executive producer says in a statement. It doesn’t matter what Jesse Palmer says in a statement. It doesn’t matter any statement that they put out regarding what he addressed on that podcast. It doesn’t matter what they say. If he’s not recast, it’s a failed season and the Golden Bachelor franchise is done, period.

End of story. Jax Taylor. Went on his podcast yesterday to answer some questions that people had. He talked about his sobriety and he said he stopped drinking November 27th, 2024. He said the rules are, I usually don’t stay more than an hour. If there’s alcohol around, if my friends are out drinking, I usually don’t stay more than an hour and people have been hitting their third drinks.

It’s very annoying to be around those people. Actually, I agree with Jack’s on that statement. I can’t stand being around people who are drunk. It drives me up a wall. Uh, I just don’t wanna be around it. That’s what he, how he finished it out. And then who can speak to Jack Taylor’s progress? This is US Weekly, basically.

Recapping his podcast episode and he said, Tom Schwartz is the best to speak to about any of the changes that have happened with Jax. He said, the only person that who has consistently seen me is Tom. As far as him and I hanging out. He’s always like, you’re much calmer. You’re so much more alert. He always gives me a lot of props for how I’ve been handling all this, because it’s a lot.

I haven’t been around everybody. So how would El, how else would anybody know? He says he sees his son two to four days a week. There’s no full custody thing that never happened. Brittany and I have different schedules. He says the co-parenting is as good as it can be. Could it be better? Sure. Could it be worse?

Absolutely. I can’t complain about it. I think it’s going pretty well. And then he shot down the rumors that Tom and Lala or are dating, he said Lala would eat ’em to death, and he also set the record straight. He’s never hooked up with Lala. So again, this is just his words. It’s his podcast. Nobody can come on it and dispute it.

You know, maybe now that he said this on a podcast and it has made national news, it was on US Weekly. Maybe the next time we hear from Brittany on a podcast. We’re gonna get her answers to this, and her response is to, well, he said that, but then there’s this, or he said that, and then there’s this. So we just don’t know.

He’s allowed to go on his podcast and give people an update and say whatever he wants, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. Let’s just keep that in mind.
