For CSK, their fielding efforts have costed them as dearly as their batting lapses have. MS Dhoni and co. have missed 13 catches and 9 run-outs so far in the ongoing IPL 2025. This is from just six games so far. Five out of their 13 dropped catches came in their clash against PBKS.

And what is surprising is that up till a certain point of time in the league’s history, the five-time champions were considered one of the best fielding units among all teams.

Team Matches Dropped Catches Run Outs
CSK 6 13 9
LSG 6 9 14

On the other hand, LSG have dropped 9 catches and hhave missed 14 run-outs in the six matches that they have played so far.

Yet, LSG have managed to win 4 out of their 6 matches, and are currently placed in the fourth position on the standings. Meanwhile, CSK have lost 5 out of 6 games and are currently at the rock-bottom.

Both sides, especially CSK, will have to be top-notch with their fielding if they want to taste victory on Monday.
