Colleen Hoover’s ‘Reminders Of Him’ Movie Adds ‘Outer Banks’ Star To Cast
EXCLUSIVE: Rudy Pankow is set to join Maika Monroe and Tyriq Withers in Universal’s upcoming adaptation Colleen Hoover novel Reminders of Him. Vanessa Caswill is set to direct the film. The blockbuster from No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Hoover, Reminders of Him centers on motherhood, forgiveness and the power of one love to heal even the most shattered heart.
The screenplay comes from Hoover and Lauren Levine, based on the novel. Hoover and Levine are also producing through their production company Heartbones Entertainment. Gina Matthews is producing through her Little Engine Productions. Robin Fisichella is executive producing. Director of Production Development Christine Sun will oversee the project for Universal.
Published in 2022, Reminders of Him has sold more than 6 million copies in the U.S. and is a bestseller around the world. Her previous novels include It Ends with Us, It Starts with Us, Layla, Heart Bones, Confess and Verity.
Pankow is best known for his role as JJ in the hit Netflix series Outer Banks. The show has been an international success for Netflix, with all three released seasons making Netflix’s global top 10 weekly list and winning multiple People’s Choice and MTV Movie & TV Awards, with Rudy getting his own MTV Award in 2023.
He recently starred as Romeo in the production of Romeo & Juliet at The American Repertory Theater at Harvard University and previously appeared in the Sony film Uncharted opposite Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland, which grossed over $400 million worldwide. He starred as the lead in the Roadside Attractions independent film Accidental Texan opposite Thomas Haden Church, which was awarded the 2024 Texas Independent Film Award by the Houston Film Critics Society, and he also appeared in Lionsgate’s 5lbs of Pressure with Luke Evans, Alex Pettyfer and Rory Culkin.
