Colleen Hoover Movie Reminders of Him Gets a Director

Colleen Hoover adaptation Reminders of Him has found its director in Vanessa Caswill.

Reminders of Him centers on Keena Rowan, a troubled young mother who yearns for a shot at redemption in her life after a tragic mistake. The book has sold more than 6 million copies in the United States.

Hoover and Lauren Levine are writing the screenplay and will produce through their Heartbones Entertainment banner. Director of Production Development Christine Sun will oversee the project.

Universal is planning to release the movie theatrically on Feb. 13, 2026.

Reminders of Him is one of several Hoover adaptions in Hollywood, all coming after the film adaptation of It Ends With Us earned over $300M in global ticket sales. Elsewhere, Anne Hathaway is set to star in a Hoover movie, Verity, at Amazon from the Idea of You director Michael Showalter.

Caswill was behind the popular Netflix film Love at First Sight and the BBC’s Little Women series. She is represented by CAA and 42.
