The night has arrived for the airing of the 2024 Kennedy Center Honors special and there are so many incredible performers set to take the stage!
Queen Latifah, who was honored at last year’s show, is hosting the event for the first time.
The recipients to be honored at the annual national celebration of the arts are acclaimed director and filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola; the legendary American rock band the Grateful Dead (Mickey Hart, Billy Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, Bobby Weir); blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Bonnie Raitt; jazz trumpeter, pianist and composer Arturo Sandoval; and The Apollo, which will receive a special Honors as an iconic American institution.
The event was taped on December 8 at the Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington D.C. and President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were both in attendance with their spouses.
CBS is airing the special on Sunday night (December 22) from 8:30pm ET to 11:00pm ET. You can also stream it on Paramount+.
